WARBIRDS OVER WANAKA 2024

Flying Display Programme

Friday 29th March

Military, Civil and Warbird aircraft will carry out practice sorties in preparation for the Saturday and Sunday show days.

Later in the day, a 30-minute public display will take place on the Wanaka Lake Front at 4:30pm.  This will feature a float plane lake landing, Warbird displays, formation team aerobatics, and military aircraft in action.

Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st March

The flying programme may vary slightly in content and is subject to aircraft availability and serviceability. The programme will run from 1000 through to 1600.

The final segment will be an airfield attack featuring WW II fighter and other aircraft, followed by a WW II Fighter Flypast. The Flypast will include a missing man formation, flown as a special tribute to our founder, the late Sir Tim Wallis.

A special finale will conclude the proceedings. Don’t miss it!
