International airports are situated at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown. Scheduled flights into Queenstown can be arranged through Air New Zealand and Jetstar from cities around New Zealand. From Queenstown to Wanaka your travel can be by car, coach or charter aircraft. Charter flights will operate from several locations around New Zealand.
Private aircraft may fly directly into Wanaka Airport. See further info here after August 2023 and refer to a special NOTAM issued for the 2024 Airshow.

Alexandra 86kms, Christchurch 431kms, Cromwell 55kms, Dunedin 280kms, Invercargill 307kms, Oamaru 236kms, Omarama 113kms, Queenstown 120kms, Timaru 280kms, Twizel 130kms. Allow extra travelling time for delays on Airshow days.
